If an hour or even 30 minutes of exercise seems daunting, try breaking it up.

By taking 10- to 15-minute walks several times each day, you can reap many of the same health benefits as exercising in one session.

According to the American College of Sports Medicine, these shorter bouts of activity also burn calories and improve aerobic conditioning.
